Alternative Comics Announces Spring 2015 Books

Alternative Comics — The indie comics publisher founded in 1997 by Jeff Mason, and currently based in Cupertino, California under General Manager Marc Arsenault — has joined Consortium Book Sales & Distribution from January first, 2015. Alternative’s first new books of the year include titles by seasoned cartoonists Tom Hart, Steven Cerio, Rich Tommaso and emerging talent Malachi Ward.

Also new to Alternative Comics is Associate Editor Erik Aucoin, an experienced HR professional, law student, record label co-owner and a massive fan of comics familiar to many of today’s top creators. Erik brings an array of experience to Alternative including time spent working for the United States Congress, a lobbying firm and as a radio DJ. Erik has brought many new artists to Alternative, including Derf Backerf. Erik will be taking over the main editorial duties on our house anthology, Alternative Comics, The next edition of which is scheduled for the fall, and  will contain a stellar selection of new comics.

Alternative Comics has seven books scheduled for the spring 2015 season, including new and expanded editions of two long out of print books, a first ever collection of comics from an 80s underground legend, an artist’s remix of a 90s book and new books from Tom Hart, Steven Cerio and Malachi Ward.
