Helios Sacrifice reviews Erik T. Johnson’s Outliers.

“About: A mysterious boy, who makes friends with the creatures who go bump in the night, Tsu survives a bus roll over, threats from two monsters, and the frustrations of being a mute. It’s still early in the story, but I think reading past chapter one will teach us more about people who communicate in different ways, and how most things are more than they seem.

What worked: Beautiful illustrations, great character development, and a fantastic sense of mystery.

What didn’t: Despite having more pages then the standard 22, this story read pretty fast. I would have liked a bit more insight from the speaking characters, to pull me further into the story.”
